Travel InformationThessaloniki offers a wide range of means of transport for getting around the city efficiently, bus being the most popular.AirplaneAll flights land at Makedonia Airport (SKG) in the south, 13 km away from the city centre. From there, you can either take a 30-minute taxi ride into the city ( €25.00 - €40.00 depending on the destination) or the bus for about 40 minutes (bus fare is €1.80 when bought on the ticket stand next to the bus stop or €2.00 when bought on the bus - exact change only). As with the airport, many bus options are available at the same price that provide connections to any point in the city.
